Home Maintenance Tips for Fall/Winter seasons 🍁❄️

by Larry Hall

In this video, Larry and James gave some helpful home maintenance tips for fall and before winter seasons that can save your house from any damages. Here are the tips mentioned in the video:

  1. Make sure to drain your garden hoses properly. A hose filled with water may freeze up and cause case damage. Draining it can save you spending money for a replacement.
  2. Check your weather stripping. Check your doors and windows if there will be any air leaking. By doing this, you can lower your utility bills and reduce energy use.
  3. Get the furnace checked. Have your furnace checked by heating professionals to make sure it is functioning properly and to help you save from any costs if there will be a system failure.
  4. Check pipes insulation. Make sure that your pipes especially the ones that are outside are properly insulated. Pipes with water can easily freeze and can cause cracks.
  5. Clean & check your fireplace. To avoid any accidents like smoke suffocations or worse, burning your house down, have your fireplace cleaned and inspected.
  6. Check your smoke alarms. Check it frequently and make sure to have batteries replaced every 6 months.

These simple tips can help you avoid any disasters during the cold and freezing seasons.
